Brakes the door so that the door slams defined, not uncontrolled and falls safely into the lock by itself. The door closer is installed on the hinge side between the jamb and the door leaf.
Especially for heavy and full-surface doors without openings, we strongly recommend installing the door closer for safety reasons - despite the disadvantage of extra charge and installation inside on the door leaf.
